Recommended motherboard
  • If GTX 480 is installed into the SG07 directly, the fan will not install correctly because the GTX 480’s heat pipes will interfere with the brace holding the fan.





  • Overlooking the case from the top, the heat pipes do not make contact with the frame so there is enough space to install GTX 480 in the SG07.




  • By removing the brace from the fan, the GTX 480 can be installed with the fan frame touching the heat pipes slightly.




The SG07 is a Mini-ITX case with unprecedented cooling capability. To fully take advantage of this, users can purchase larger aftermarket CPU cooler.

We firstly recommend getting motherboards such as DFI’s LANParty MI P55-T36 for use in the SG07. Its CPU socket location enables it to accommodate various aftermarket coolers including some tower style ones.


If you need to use H55 based Mini-ITX boards such as Zotac’s H55-ITX WiFi that has CPU socket very close to the PCI-E slot, then the CPU cooler choices will be more limited.


We have tested several aftermarket CPU coolers and found that the Thermalright AXP-140 to be compatible with H55 based Mini-ITX motherboard. Please refer to the following photos for example of a build with this CPU cooler and motherboard combination:

(Special note: The 120mm fan installed on top of the CPU cooler is for reference only, it is not required for safe operation as SG07’s included AP181 on top of the case can provide enough cooling to support CPU up to 95W power level.)
There is a power switch located directly on SG07's power supply and it maybe in the "off" position. The switch is located next to the power cord connector on the power supply, please check it and make sure it is in the "on" position.

1. Loosen three screws located on the back of SG07.
     

2. Push top-cover in the direction as shown gently and finally pull up to detach the top-cover
     

3. Loosen four screws located on optical drive bracket and detach it gently.
     

4. Loosen two screws located on hard drive bracket and detach it gently.
     

5. Unplug power cord.
     

6. Loosen two screws near front I/O module and detach it gently.
     

7. Install USB 3.0 front I/O module (part number: G11303260) and secure with screws.
     

8. Assemble parts back in reverse order carefully.
     Your case is now USB3 ready.
